I’m Jessica Lackey, and I help expertise-based business owners like you build strong foundations that last. After years in Fortune 50 consulting and leading strategy at companies like McKinsey and Nike, I decided to bring my skills to smaller businesses that really needed them.

That’s when my entrepreneurial journey took a turn…

What I discovered was an industry built on selling tactics without teaching the fundamental skill of how to actually run a business. No one was showing business owners how all the pieces fit together into a working whole.

That’s why I created Deeper Foundations.

By combining my real business background with a holistic, human-centered approach, I help you build business foundations that actually work for you. No manipulation tactics, no pressure to scale out of doing the work you love— just practical systems designed for sustainable success.

I didn’t start out with these skills either. Most experts don’t, because they’re rarely taught in a way that fits small, expertise-led businesses. What is out there is often distorted by exploitative tactics, designed to grow audiences (not expert businesses), or built for larger teams.

But in a right-sized, expertise-led business, these skills aren’t optional. They’re the real drivers of sustainable growth.

General Course FAQs

  • The Clarity Classes and Define Your Foundations courses are delivered on-demand and are perfect for self-paced learners. There is no live support component.

    But when buying the courses as part of the Membership or Define Your Foundations program, you get that programs’s level of support on your questions, more frequent Q&A/office hours, co-working/program implementation calls, and access to 1:1 support.

  • The courses will be hosted in Circle.

  • I offer a limited number of scholarships with details on each course page. Deeper Foundations Members get 10% off every course (which offsets most of the Membership fees).

  • I do my best to answer many questions from participants via email. Enrolling in the full Programs include high-touch personal support. If you’d like to purchase a  1:1 session, those are offered at a discounted rate to Deeper Business Members. 

  • For digital products, I don’t offer refunds.
